Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) settings in the Windows Update Library Item control where Windows devices receive updates: an internal Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server, Microsoft Update, or a combination of both.
The Update service URL can be configured to route devices to a WSUS server, while the update source for feature updates, quality updates, driver updates, and other update types can be selected independently. Per-type source controls support a mix of Windows Update and WSUS as needed, such as routing drivers from one source while pulling quality updates from another.
Additional controls support full WSUS integration, including detection frequency (1–22 hours) for how often devices check for updates, proxy behavior for update scanning, TLS certificate pinning on the update client, and an alternate server for redundant download paths or statistics reporting.
