Devices held in Setup Assistant while Library Items install can now be released manually. This applies to devices enrolling via Automated Device Enrollment and devices migrating into Iru with managed apps preserved. While a device is held at the Configuring screen, a banner appears at the top of the device's record in the Iru web app showing when the hold began. Selecting Release hold sends the DeviceConfigured command, releasing the device from the Configuring screen so the end user can continue through Setup Assistant and begin using the device. Selecting Check status refreshes the banner to confirm the device has been released. Devices can also be released via the Iru Enterprise API.
In normal practice, manually releasing a device should never be needed, as the hold timeout will always kick in and release the device automatically. This action exists as a recovery option for devices that appear stuck.
